The Philip Cleary Ensemble

Philip Cleary of Waywords and Meansigns

Philip Cleary is a writer, playwright, storyteller and performer. He describes himself as an Absurdist by inclination, an Existentialist by circumstance, and a Surrealist at heart. All tempered by subversion and irreverence, lately fun has been making a very welcome comeback.

Philip founded The Philip Cleary Ensemble in 2013. The Ensemble is an ever evolving collaboration of performers, artists and musicians exploring, interpreting and experimenting with old and new works across a variety of art practices and disciplines. The Ensemble is based in Sydney, Australia.
