David Hurn is a British composer and songwriter based in East London. His debut single “Sick of Hate” was released in 1999 on Day Release records. Personally invited to open shows by, amongst others, Mark Eitzel and British Sea Power, Hurn has performed live extensively in the UK, as well as in Germany, Poland, and USA. His album The Glaze was released in 2013. In 2008 Hurn collaborated with Abigail Hopkins on the Fire Records celebration of James Joyce’s Chamber Music. A new vocal album titled Private Ruins (Vol 1) is due to be released in February 2017.
David Hurn collaborated Abigail Hopkins in 2017 for the Opendoor Edition of Waywords and Meansigns, recording page 226 line 21 through page 228 line 2.
